Ice Cream Cake Recipe
The iced cake transports many Brazilians back to childhood, where at birthday parties and school trips they unwrapped the aluminum foil and bit into the cold, wet dough of this sweet. Today you can easily prepare iced cake at home, just follow the Specialfood suggestion that we present below!
Ingredients for making iced cake:
For mass:
2 cups of wheat flour (280 grams)
1 cup of sugar (160 grams)
1 cup of milk (240 milliliters)
4 units of egg
1 tablespoon of baking powder
For the syrup/topping:
1 can of condensed milk
1 small bottle of coconut milk
1 pack of grated coconut
How to make iced cake:
The first step in the ice cream cake recipe is to separate the whites from the yolks. In a large bowl beat the egg whites and, when they are ready, add the sugar and egg yolks, mixing again.
Then add the flour, yeast and milk. Beat again until you get a homogeneous mass.
Pour the iced cake batter into a 30.5 cm x 20 cm baking dish greased with butter and flour. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ÂșC for 40 minutes.
When the cake is ready, remove from the oven and prepare the syrup/topping: mix in a bowl the coconut milk, condensed milk and half the grated coconut packet.
Cut the iced cake into cubes, dip each in the milk bowl, then on a plate with the rest of the grated coconut, and wrap in a piece of aluminum foil. Repeat until all cake is used up.
Take all iced cake cubes to the refrigerator and let stand for at least 2 hours. Serve cold, bon appetit!
